Hello!!

You all know that in Spain we have 17 autonomous communities and 2 autonomous cities. Our autonomous community is Madrid. As the rest of the autonomous communities, Madrid has:

- A flag

The colors of a flag have a special significance: The red color represents Castille (a region of Spain) as Madrid has been historically Castillian.

- A coat of arms

The coat of arms represents the community's history: 

• The red color represents Castille (as in the flag). 
• The two castles represent the two Castilian communities and Madrid as their union. 
• The seven stars represent the constellation "Ursa Minor", which is visible from the city. 
• The five points of the stars represent the five provinces around the Community.
• The royal crown symbolizes Madrid as the royal seat.
